Bite Investments has appointed investment banking veteran Florus Plantenga as Head of Client Advisory. With over 30 years of experience in the investment banking sector, Plantenga is poised to drive growth and refine client engagement for the global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) firm.
Plantenga’s career spans three decades, including two focused on alternative asset management. He has held senior roles at prestigious financial institutions, including JP Morgan, Société Générale, Merrill Lynch, and Lincoln International, where he most recently led European financial sponsor coverage. His extensive background makes him a key figure in Bite’s plans to scale its global operations, as demand for its investor management software, Bite Stream, accelerates.
Bite Stream, a proprietary software solution, has been instrumental in simplifying investor onboarding and fundraising for asset managers. It is designed to streamline complex processes such as due diligence, compliance, and investor relations for companies and fund managers of all sizes, making it an essential tool in today’s alternative investment landscape.
Henry Talbot-Ponsonby, Co-Founder and President of Bite Investments, expressed his confidence in the appointment, stating, “Florus brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership that will sharpen our focus on exceeding client expectations. His deep understanding of the alternative assets sector is invaluable as we continue to scale globally.”
Plantenga, reflecting on his new role, highlighted the growing demand for digital solutions in investment banking, particularly within the alternative investment space. “We’re seeing a shift in investor preferences, with more interest from retail investors, which introduces new complexities. Bite Stream is well-positioned to solve these challenges with its digital-first approach, and I’m eager to help our clients navigate this evolving landscape,” he said.
Bite Investments, with its global reach across the US, Europe, and Asia, has been a driving force in the SaaS market for alternative assets. The firm’s growing presence and technological solutions offer an innovative approach to the often-complicated world of asset management. With Plantenga at the helm of client advisory, the firm is set to continue its upward trajectory in the investment banking and alternative assets sector.
